Sensational Seven Months!!

Noah is officially seven months old as of April 25, 2012! He is weighing in at a little over 19lbs and is officially two feet and some inches! :)
Here are some fun updates from this month in the life of Noah Zelman :)
  • Size 3 diaps
  • Size 6-9/6-12 clothes
  • Still no teeth though he has been drooling and chewing on everything for about two months now
  • Rolls when he wants to get an object, otherwise he resorts to "scooting" to reposition or move himself around most of the time its only to get something that he wants that is out of reach or to better see Mama and Daddy. I really don't foresee this kid crawling....I predict straight to walking
  • He will stand up on his own holding onto objects (this is short lived because he gets excited and tries to grab things only to realize he has not yet mastered the art of balancing on two feet).
  • He can almost pull himself to sitting from laying down (way to work those ab muscles!)
  • He has started to throw mini tantrums now when objects are taken away from him that he wants...like the computer when he is trying to work his magic on it, the remote, phone charger, etc.
  • If you hold his hands while he is standing he will take forward moving steps to get closer to an object or person...NUTS! (Thank you Sister for trying to make my Baby grow up WAY too quickly!)
  • Sits up on his own like a pro
    What you looking at?!?

  • Looks for objects when he drops them
  •  He turns in the direction of our voices
  • Sleeping in his big boy crib :)
  • He now will play peekaboo with you. If you put a blanket over his little face and say "where is Noah?" Hell pull it off and then laugh at you. :)Makes my heart melt!
  • He doesn't clap on his own yet, but we have officially mastered clapping together with open hands, before it was like we were clapping little fists.  He loves to clap :)
  • Loves listening to helping his Daddy play the guitar
  •  Loves to read :)
  • And last but not least, FOOD: We've officially moved to stage 2 foods.  This past month we have worked in a lot of new fruits and veggies.  Some of his favorites: Pears, Sweet Potato/Corn (odd mix right? but he loves this stuff), Summer Squash/Corn, Strawberry/Apple/Banana, Apple/Blackberry, Apple/Prunes, Strawberry/Pear/Granola.
    • Breakfast: Oatmeal mixed with Pear or Apple Juice with half a container of  Stage 2 fruit. Normally we mix in the Pear/Cinnamon/Oatmeal to jazz things up a bit.Followed with some milk.(Still pumping, but it looks like we will be moving to formula soon because the supply has been dwindling this month)
    • Morning Snack:  One container of Stage 2 fruit. Followed with another bottle.
    • Lunch: One container of Stage 2 veggie.
    • Afternoon snack: One container of Stage 2 fruit. Followed with another bottle of milk.
    • Supper: One container of Stage 2 veggie and one container of Stage 2 fruit. Followed with another bottle of milk.
    • Late night snack: Bottle of milk. (He's getting about 19-25oz milk each day)
  •  Noah's favorite TV shows in no particular order:

    • Sesame Street (The creepiest part is he LOVES Mr. Noodle...ugh!)
    • Jeopardy
    • Sports Center
    • Dinosaur Train
 And just for fun:

M.I.A

I cannot believe it has almost been an ENTIRE month since I've posted...EPIC FAIL! Let's do a quick recap to get everyone caught up then we can move on to more fun future things :) Like the fact my baby will be SEVEN MONTHS Wednesday...OMG where is the time going?!?!?!

And here we go:

  • The last weekend in March took us on a road trip down to SC for my Uncle Andy's 50th Birthday surprise bash in Bluffton, SC (near Hilton Head y'all!). In an attempt to keep the kid from sleeping allllllllll dayyyyyyy in a car we left at 6pm on Thursday and made it to Rocky Mount, NC for the night :) We got up bright and early on Friday and took a little side trip to Charleston and had a late lunch at the Hominy Grill. Delish!!! :) Noah enjoyed a nice sweet potato lunch as well for his first official big boy lunch :) We made it to Bluffton for a late supper with my family :) Saturday was the party where Noah got to meet a lot more of the Bradshaw Clan :)

  • April 3rd: Noah had his 6 month check up and weighed in at 18lbs 16 ounces and is officially 2 feet 2 inches! :) YAY :)
  • April 6th: Noah celebrated his first Passover with the Zelmans and got his first taste of Matzo
  • April 7th: Mama and Daddy had our first official night out with friends since Noah was born to celebrate our friend Jamie's 30th birthday in DC. We had a nice supper and then went out for drinks...it was the first time I had seen 1am in ages that wasn't a result of a crying baby :P Thanks to Jo Jo, Pop Pop, Aunt Kate and Aunt Lissa for keeping the munchkin for us :)
  • April 8th: Noah celebrated his first Easter with my family: Easter service at Centreville Baptist, Easter baskets, Easter egg hunt and a nice brunch with the whole family.

  • The rest of the month has been a blur of work (my computer crashed for the third time in six months can we say hella awesome!), cleaning and spending quality family time together :)
  • Mama has officially lost all baby weight and is 5 lbs shy of wedding weight...holla! :)
  • My best good friend Casey is preggers with a little boy (Jack) and is due in June :) She had a baby shower on Sunday, so Noah and I trucked it down to Carrsville for the day. Jo Jo and Pop Pop loved getting to see him even though it was only for a bit. I think the distance gets to my Daddy more than anyone :( The shower was a lot of fun I got to see a few girlfriends from High School and their babies. Noah made a few little girlfriends himself this weekend :P The good news is my parents will be coming back up to visit with us again in a few weeks to keep No No. Matt and I will be going to see the Black Keys (my anniversary present to Matt) on Friday and then our friends are getting married in DC on Saturday so it will be our first official night away from Noah (I'm sooooooooooooo nervous). I swear we'll be up at 5am driving back home to see the little munchkin!
  • This weekend we'll be taking Noah to Ohio for his first visit! :)
I swear I'll be back tomorrow with an official 7 month update on Noah! :)
