Super Six Months

Noah is officially six months! :) We'll have his check up next Tuesday to get his weight and measurements, as well as some more shots! Yikes! :) I have a feeling he is between 18-19 lbs. And probably around 25 inches. I'll have an official update for you next week :)
Here are some fun updates from this month in the life of Noah Zelman :)
  • Size 3 diaps
  • Size 3-6 clothes (in dire need to move up to 6-9 though :P)
  • Rolled from back to front (this only happened once or twice when he wanted something bad enough. I have a feeling he will only start doing this more when he is ready to be on the move!)
  • Sat up for extended periods of time unassisted
  • Razzes
  • Blows spit bubbles (Mama is so proud...)
  • Sticks out his tongue
  • Giggles when tickled
  • Laughs when you laugh with him
  • Attempts to put anything and everything into his mouth :P
  • Sat in a high chair at restaurants
  • Started using his "big boy" version of his stroller
  • Used the umbrella stroller
  • Went on the swings for the first time
  • Went down his first slide
  • Started sleeping in his big boy crib
  • And last but not least, FOOD: Bananas, Peaches, Pears, Sweet Potatoes (fav), Squash, Carrots (fav) and Green beans (not a fan). He is eating 1-2 containers of Stage 1 food at supper and then another container for either breakfast or lunch during the day.
We are excited to see what the next month holds for our "little" boy! :)

Happy Monday! :)

Thought I would kick the week off "right" by properly thieving a post idea for my dear friend! :)

A is for age.
29. I don't know why this number looks so forlorn...

B is for breakfast today. Oatmeal :)

C is for current craving. Coooffffeeeeeeeee

D is for dinner tonight. I have the most wonderful husband in the world. He is my very own personal chef :)

E is for favorite type of exercise. Ugh. There is no way I have a favorite. But I guess if I have to pick something it would be something fun like DANCE :)

F is for irrational fear. Tunnels and elevators when they are packed. I think the tunnel is gonna fill with water or cave in and we'll all die. I hyperventilate sometimes...and the elevator. I hate that feeling of confined spaces with no where to go and you feel like that last person that just stepped on is sucking out the last bit of air and now you know that life will pick this moment for the power to go out and you'll be stuck with this stinky man's BO and this other person breathing all your air. *awkward face*

G is for gross food. I had an issue with Chicken while I was pregnant. Couldn't smell it and couldn't eat it. Thought it was DISGUSTING. Thank goodness that is finally coming to an end :)

H is for hometown. Carrsville, VA. Holla!

I is for something important. Why that would be my precious baby boy and my fabulous husband of course! :) Family by far and away is the most important thing to me...always! :)
J is for current jam. Blackberry! OMG wait I think this means song...ahahahaha and of course I got the food route! :p

K is for Kids. Noah Clinton Irving Zelman :)
L is for current location. Centreville, VA

M is for the most recent way you spent money. I do believe it was coffee last night. Starbucks. It was our last stop in Petersburg for the final home stretch :)

N is for something you need. A haircut, eyebrow wax and pedi. And a massage! :)

O is for occupation. Northrop Grumman Account Manager for the GovTrip project. But I just wish my only job was being a Mommy and Wife :) Ah, a girl can dream ;)

P is for pet peeve. Plural versus possessive. Misusing you, your and you're. Misusing to versus too.

Q is for quote. "Forget regret or life is yours to miss." :) Oh how I love quoting musicals :)

R is for random fact about you. I am legally blind. :( For reals if my contacts are not in or I don't have on my glasses...everything is a beautiful colorful blur.

S is for favorite healthy snack. Apple slices, grapes or carrots :) And occasionally if I need something more in the "treat" realm I go for some rice cakes (chocolate or caramel)

T is for favorite treat. Coffee treat: Peppermint mocha latte. Candy treats: Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs Who am I kidding...I love all treats and they are all my favorites in that particular moment...

U is for something that makes you unique. When I choke, it is followed by a ton of coughing...then I sneeze.

V is for favorite vegetable. Potatoes (sweet or regular), corn and snaps (green beans)

W is for today’s workout. Let's hope I can drag my tired butt to the gym today. :) In other good news I've cracked the 140s :) wooot!

X is for x-rays you’ve had. Mouth (teeth), neck (car accident), back (car accident), knees (both), ankles (both)...thank you basketball for the later two :P

Y is for yesterday’s highlight. Getting back to VA at a reasonable hour :)

Z is for your time zone. 6...I mean Eastern.

It Never Rains In Sunny California

Oh but apparently it does...especially in March :P We landed at LAX around 11ish PDT on Friday to some very overcast skies with highs in the low 60s. No bueno. We refused to be deterred by the weather and were excited to be on the west coast to see family and friends!First stop Malibu to meet up with Aunt Kim! :) Kim recently relocated to Santa Monica so it worked out well that we were able to have lunch and catch up with her on our way to the Mitzvah location. The lunch really hit the spot since Matt and I were both STARVING! The we headed to Malibu Lagoon State Beach since we had some time to spare before we needed to be at camp.

Noah's first time on a beach!
We moved on down the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) to the little camp where Julia (Matt's cousin) was having her Bat Mitzvah. We got a little lost going up the mountain, who knew we would end up in Malibu, California with ZERO cell phone reception. It was actually rather nice minus missing updates on the madness. The Conference Center of the camp had a mini hotel, the only down fall being twin beds. Hello 1950s! :P We ended up making a makeshift queen size bed on the floor out of the mattresses....genius! I was afraid we were too late and had missed out on the Challah braiding fun but I was able to join in! :) YAY! I made cinnamon/brown sugar (of course I went the sweet route) and Matt made sesame and pumpernickel. I was super proud of how great my Challah turned out, we ended up having it with Shabbat dinner later that night. Check out this shiksa!Noah got to meet a lot of new people. He was a little overwhelmed at times, but all in all he did a FANTASTIC job! :) Here are some more pictures from Friday Night at dinner.
No No meeting Aunt BettyJeff and No No as he's getting kisses from LilaNoah and Grandma TobyFour GenerationsSaturday brought a TON of Rain and on two occasions hail...Matt said it was the rapture. Saturday also brought St. Patty's Day! :) Aunt Kathy since Noah the cutest little onesie for his first time to celebrate my all time FAVORITE holiday so here are the best pics from my mini-photo sesh with him Saturday morning. On a side note: The power went out Saturday morning after Matt and I had been up for about 30 mins. We then successfully changed two diapers (poopy) with a flash light. Baller status! We also changed poopy diaps on the plane too! :)

Saturday was a loooooong day for Noah. The festivities started with the service at 10:30.
Matt said this was thankfully a short service. Noah slept through pretty much the whole service. I think the smoke from the fire got to him. After the service we went back to our room for bathroom breaks and diaps changes. Then we headed back out for lunch in the heated tent. Noah got to meet a lot more family, but most importantly his Aunt Gail, Uncle Peter and Cousins Maddie and Skylar.
We ended the night with supper and a dance which we all got a little fancy for. Noah of course was the fanciest of us all ;)And the perfect way to end the night was some naked baby time with Mama and Daddy before getting into our jammers! :)We had a great weekend and it was so wonderful getting to introduce Noah to so many family and friends. Overall he was a real trooper. The jet lag and teething made him a little fussier than normal and we think he may have gotten a little sinus/cold thingy from the airplane that caused him to have a little cough and runny nose, but no fever. He got a sever case of the poops on both Saturday and Monday, so I think that was his little body reacting to the flights. He is back in high spirits and back to his normal self today :)
