Random Ramblings

Can I get a Hell Yeah its Friday!?!?! :) Surprisingly this week has flown by...and next week will be a quick four day work week! :) YAY for celebrating MLK!

I will be getting a much over due haircut today! Super excited! I plan on keeping the length, but just trimming off the dead ends which are causing my curly hair to get nappy. :P About a month ago I went in to get a color and cut but it was taking so long I skipped the cut to get home to see my boys. (*Sucker*) I went back to being dark, there is something about the winter that dark hair just feels better :P And I went for some Auburn highlights, well our definitions we not the same. So I came out with RED highlights. But it was different and I'm like okay this can work. So I just did some heavy washing for two days and got it to a less intense color and I loved it. But now its fading out to a brownish tone so its cool. I'll be due for a touch up in another month or two.

Noah is still struggling with the concept of sucking his thumb. He is trying so hard to get that thumb, but doesn't know how to separate it from the rest of his fist. The result: sucking on his whole fist!

We have a new show obsession: Homeland. It's like AMC's The Killing but why better! Better plot, story line and characters! PS Claire Danes is in it and she drops the F bomb like its her job! hahah We've been watching it on On Demand to catch up with the first season, we have two episodes left. Our nights normally consist of eating and watching our fav shows that we have DVR'ed here are our favorites in no particular order:

If you haven't noticed a pattern: reality, food, reality, drama, comedy! :)

I don't know if its because Noah is a little boy but the child can poop! And in the past month I'm talking blow outs! :p The first poopy blowout we experienced we thought he had peed through his diaper (sometimes this happens when his little pee pee isnt tucked in his diaper properly and it will cause things to shoot out the side). He had on his little overalls, a onesie and a plaid shirt. When I remove the overalls I realize that is not pee, its poop and its clean up his back all the way to his little neck! Lord have mercy! On New Year's Day, he pooped through twice! I also believe the diapers have something to do with it as well. We got a huge pack of Huggies from Costco (and were almost through them), but I am not a fan of them! I love Pampers, we have yet to experience a poop out in them! Any other Mamas or Daddys out there have a diaper preference?? And is it just us experiencing poop outs? :P

Thanks for all the advice on Noah's nails! I had a successful trim the other night while he was sleeping in my arms after a bottle. I plan on filing them tonight too. They just grow so quickly and with his new habit of face discovery I do not want him scarring himself for life :(

We are planning a very relaxing weekend with some laundry (and by some I mean a whole buttload!) and cleaning thrown in. How embarrassing is it that its January 13th, Friday the 13th might I add ;), and I have yet to take down our Hanukkah or Christmas decorations?!?!?! Ugh! With me hosting a jewelery party in two weeks time I need to get this house in order!!!! More to come on the party later!
