Dear Long Lost Friends,
Please forgive me! The last few days before our cruise were crazy hectic and I never got back to my two posts I promised (Beach Vacation update and Noah's Nine Month update). We had an amazing cruise, so I owe you a MAJOR update on our Alaskan voyage! Needless to say we have STRUGGLED majorly this week...why you might ask?? Well for starters our flight got into Dulles late on Sunday night putting us back at the house somewhere around 10pm. Oh and how did Noah do being strapped into his car seat for the first time in over a week...HORRIBLE. The poor dear screamed pretty much all the way from Dulles to our house in Centreville. And the fun is just starting, we some how managed to lose (I'm pretty sure I threw it out in Seattle when I was cleaning out all the bags and getting everything repacked) the parking ticket for the airport. So leaving the parking garage took forever because they had to look up our license plate number. Ugh! We get home and guess what?! We have no cable or INTERNET! Major meltdown...we work from home!!! I need the internet to WORK! Matt calls Verizon and reports the issue. Needless to say the internet and cable went out the previous weekend when those major storms rocked the east coast. Thankfully our power never went out. I'm exhausted from the plane ride, spazing out over having to actually get up, get dressed in REAL clothes and go into the office the next day didn't make for a welcomed trip home. Add to the list the fact that my child was still on PDT and was ready to play until midnight when he finally gave into the bottle and went down for the night. Exhausted. We are still struggling getting him back on his schedule, but today was better than the previous two days. Of course I have some how gotten a cold, I know its from running myself ragged the last two days and not getting enough sleep/rest. My wonderful Matt let me sleep in until 9 today, which I needed and thankfully our internet was fixed yesterday evening which afforded me the luxury of sleeping in. :)
There is lots going on with us these days. I promise not to be a stranger and make some prompt updates on all our goings on!
Love,
RZ
