Alaskan Cruise 2012-Part II

Day 2: At Sea

We were up and at 'em like no bodies business on Saturday, the time change obviously threw us for a loop, understatement of the year.  We were up with the old folks for breakfast :P One of my favorite things about the cruise was each day there was an itinerary (nerd alert!). We explored the boat and attended a few trivia matches (yes we won! :P).  We also took a little trip to the infirmary...funny story. So when I woke up on Saturday morning, my mouth was on FIRE.  Mizfest 2012 in full effect! I went and looked at the inside of my lips in the mirror and there was this flame red rash staring back at me, with little white bumps.  I immediately FREAKED OUT!  Yes I am a hypochondriac and yes I immediately thought that I had contracted hoof and mouth disease (seriously WTF Bec!) and that I would pass it to Noah.  Do I ever divulge this information to the doctors, of course not it would be way too embarrassing.  What's more embarrassing?! Going to the infirmary on the boat for severely CHAPPED LIPS! OhMGee! For reals you cannot make this ish up! They gave me some lidocaine to numb my lips until they had properly healed.  So if any of you out there are interested in any home piercings, I can hook you up with a superb numbing agent! Just joshing y'all :p

Saturday was also our first Formal Night! :) And we were READY!!! :) Noah was still a little jet lagged so we had to wake him up from a 2+ hour nap at 7pm to get him ready for pictures/supper.  He was sooooooooooooooo excited!

Day 3: Ketchikan, AK
We stopped at each of these cities in Alaska, except Sitka.
When we woke up Sunday morning and looked out the window, boy did we have a view!
Good morning Alaska!

Every morning there were these mangy animals for each new port city in Alaska, of course I made Matt and Noah have their picture taken with these horrendous animals.  You know how I feel about these things...apparently my son has similar feelings...

Ready for the Lumberjack show!
Unfortunately, we could tell it was going to be a deary, rainy day! :( On the agenda for the day, Lumberjack show, but first to secure some ponchos! In an attempt to make our trip out west a little easier we brought the umbrella stroller instead of the cow, so I had to rig up a little canopy to keep it off Noah!

That chainsaw is AWESOME!

We had an amazing time at the Lumberjack show. Thankfully it was an outdoor amphitheater that was covered and heated :)  Noah had lunch while watching the guys, he especially loved the chain saws! After the show we walked around "downtown", went into a few shops and ate a one of the local places that served reindeer dogs...I passed.
