It Never Rains In Sunny California

Oh but apparently it does...especially in March :P We landed at LAX around 11ish PDT on Friday to some very overcast skies with highs in the low 60s. No bueno. We refused to be deterred by the weather and were excited to be on the west coast to see family and friends!First stop Malibu to meet up with Aunt Kim! :) Kim recently relocated to Santa Monica so it worked out well that we were able to have lunch and catch up with her on our way to the Mitzvah location. The lunch really hit the spot since Matt and I were both STARVING! The we headed to Malibu Lagoon State Beach since we had some time to spare before we needed to be at camp.

Noah's first time on a beach!
We moved on down the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) to the little camp where Julia (Matt's cousin) was having her Bat Mitzvah. We got a little lost going up the mountain, who knew we would end up in Malibu, California with ZERO cell phone reception. It was actually rather nice minus missing updates on the madness. The Conference Center of the camp had a mini hotel, the only down fall being twin beds. Hello 1950s! :P We ended up making a makeshift queen size bed on the floor out of the mattresses....genius! I was afraid we were too late and had missed out on the Challah braiding fun but I was able to join in! :) YAY! I made cinnamon/brown sugar (of course I went the sweet route) and Matt made sesame and pumpernickel. I was super proud of how great my Challah turned out, we ended up having it with Shabbat dinner later that night. Check out this shiksa!Noah got to meet a lot of new people. He was a little overwhelmed at times, but all in all he did a FANTASTIC job! :) Here are some more pictures from Friday Night at dinner.
No No meeting Aunt BettyJeff and No No as he's getting kisses from LilaNoah and Grandma TobyFour GenerationsSaturday brought a TON of Rain and on two occasions hail...Matt said it was the rapture. Saturday also brought St. Patty's Day! :) Aunt Kathy since Noah the cutest little onesie for his first time to celebrate my all time FAVORITE holiday so here are the best pics from my mini-photo sesh with him Saturday morning. On a side note: The power went out Saturday morning after Matt and I had been up for about 30 mins. We then successfully changed two diapers (poopy) with a flash light. Baller status! We also changed poopy diaps on the plane too! :)

Saturday was a loooooong day for Noah. The festivities started with the service at 10:30.
Matt said this was thankfully a short service. Noah slept through pretty much the whole service. I think the smoke from the fire got to him. After the service we went back to our room for bathroom breaks and diaps changes. Then we headed back out for lunch in the heated tent. Noah got to meet a lot more family, but most importantly his Aunt Gail, Uncle Peter and Cousins Maddie and Skylar.
We ended the night with supper and a dance which we all got a little fancy for. Noah of course was the fanciest of us all ;)And the perfect way to end the night was some naked baby time with Mama and Daddy before getting into our jammers! :)We had a great weekend and it was so wonderful getting to introduce Noah to so many family and friends. Overall he was a real trooper. The jet lag and teething made him a little fussier than normal and we think he may have gotten a little sinus/cold thingy from the airplane that caused him to have a little cough and runny nose, but no fever. He got a sever case of the poops on both Saturday and Monday, so I think that was his little body reacting to the flights. He is back in high spirits and back to his normal self today :)
