We kick started celebrating Matt's birthday Tuesday with our date night that I expanded on in a previous post. Followed by a family date night at Texas de Brazilian, a Brazilian steakhouse on Thursday before we headed out of town. We loved it! Noah got so excited every time they brought meat on swords to our table! Friday was Matt's actual birthday and Noah and I had a lot of surprises in store for him!

Surprise! |
We made him breakfast and brought it to him in bed! :) And we let him sleep in :) Friday afternoon we started our birthday vacation trip off and headed up to Pittsburgh. Noah was a surprisingly good little traveler and wasn't too cranky about being strapped in for so long. The worst part about going to PA are the FREAKIN tunnels! Ugh! We made it into town late on Friday thanks to all the rain. We snuggled into bed for a good nights sleep in preparation for a fun day on Saturday.
We were out and about Saturday by 9:30 and made our way to Starbs with some sight seeing mixed in. Our hotel was right across from the Roberto Clemente bridge and next to PNC Park so we had some great views.
Our first stop was the Andy Warhol museum! :) Unfortunately, we couldn't take any pictures of the actual exhibits, but Noah had a blast! He loved all the colors that are always a staple in Warhol artwork. We got to see some fun pieces that we had never seen before and plenty of favorites. To kick off our weekend of Noah first....his first art museum.

Big Bear and Little Bear gazing at Warhol :) |
We had lunch at the famous Primanti Brothers and it lived up to my Man vs Food expectations! :) Fries on a steak and cheese...please and thank you! :) We continued our afternoon of fun at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and Art. Continuing our theme of firsts Noah got to see his very first dinosaurs and he was beyond excited!!! :)

Bear attack!! |
We ended our night having supper at Church Brew Works. It was an old Catholic Church that has since been converted into a restaurant/microbrewery. We had an amazing time until what I like to call Poopapalooza 2012, Poopfest 2012 or the Great Poop Out of 2012 occurred. He was sitting in the high chair next to me and I knew he had pooped so we wanted to make sure he had finished before I took him to be changed. When Matt picked him up out of the chair I saw it immediately....there was a stain all the way up his back almost to his neck! Cringe! This isn't my first poop out rodeo, but it's definitely the first of this caliber that I'd have to tackle in public. So we enter the bathroom and to my chagrin the changing table is right by the sinks...awesome on public display! What's even better Matt has posted up outside the women's bathroom in case his services are needed, so every time someone comes into the bathroom he gets a different view of Noah in all his naked poopy glory! We had a great laugh over the whole thing!
What better way to end the night than with Noah's first swim at the hotel pool! He loved it and never wanted to leave. He even threw a mini-tanrum when we took him out because he was turning into a little shriveled up prune.

We had an amazing time! Cannot wait for all our exciting upcoming trips and all the other new "firsts" we'll be experiencing with him.
