Where did 2010 go?

Seriously 2010 flew by!! We spent the first 5 months kicking Dan out of our apartment before the wedding...just kidding :) I miss him as my roommate. But in all seriousness we did spend it preppin' for the wedding :) The last bit of 2010 really rocketed by...obvi since I haven't made a post in ages. So really the only way to bring in this new year properly is by playing catch up! :)

The first weekend in December we were HOME! Holy smokes right?! We no worries we crammed it full of errands and house hunting! Yup house hunting. This was going to be our second Saturday of hunting for a house in hopes to have one by the time our lease ends on the apt. Well guess what WE FOUND A HOUSE!!! Its this cute little four bedroom town house in Centreville :) Yay for us!! And like a whirl wind everything just starting happening so quickly. We decided to make an offer so we filled out all the contract stuff (Thank God for my husband because I suck at understanding interest rates and all that jazz. All I am good for in these situations is my fabulous note taking abilities--I had a house hunting note book--and my PHENOM credit score! :D) that day. We wrapped up that weekend with a holiday party at the wonderful, beautiful Mirela's house. Lots of fun co-workers there. Lets just say that an entire bottle of wine and 200+ cream puffs dont mix well....hello toilet hugging time! Sunday morning I woke up fine...Thank the Good Lord! :) Our realtor called and informed us someone else was putting in an offer too...so we were freakin' out! Then I came down with the stomach bug...yes the real one not caused by wine and cream puffs! Here we are in the middle of one of the biggest changes in our lives and I am on my death bed. We find out Monday that we get the house and I cant jump up and down and scream and Holler about getting the house. I just manage a weak "yea!" :( BUT WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!! Our month was full of paper work paper work and more paper work! We'll be closing Jan 20th! Happy Birthday to me (one day later!) :) And unfortunately I do not yet have a picture of the front of the house :( But here is our soon to be backyard :)

We then celebrated Hanukkah with the Zelman family! :) Here is my favorite moment...Dan sportin' the confederate flag suspenders I got him! :)

We then jetted down to Savannah for a long weekend to celebrate my cousin Jessica's wedding! :) We spent all of Thursday in Savannah. Here we are enjoying the brisk December on River Street.

We apparently brought a cold front down with us so the temp was in the 30s the whole weekend...awesome. NOT! Friday night we headed to Rincon United Methodist for the rehearsal dinner..the highlight was Clyde using Grandma Hazel's camera to take a pic. She never goes anywhere without this camera and it never fails to run out of film and start automatically rewinding in the most awkward moments. Right when Clyde takes the pic...REWIND! Hilarious!

Saturday the whole family went down to River Street for some good shrimp! :) Here is Sister and Grandma in their rain bonnets.

Jessica and Matt had very nice wedding and she was a gorgeous bride :)

Two of my favorite things from the wedding was her hot chocolate table :) Yummy! And on their cake table they had pictures of their parents and grandparents from their wedding day :) I loved it! Too bad I already had my wedding ;)

The following weekend Matt had his boys weekend in Vegas with his dad and brothers so my parents brought Kateland down to stay with me. They celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary the same day Matt's parents celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary...CRAZY! Crazier still my friend Flavia's parents have the exact same day and year as my parents and our friend Laura's parents have the exact same day and year as Matt's parents! CRAZINESS! :P

Kateland and I spent a lot of time baking together while she was here! :) My waist has the evidence. We then went to Carrsville for an amazing Christmas with my family :) Sister straightened Kate's hair for Christmas Eve service

We always do Christmas Eve with the Vick Family (Mom's side) and we have been doing the white elephant for the past couple of years routing good gifts with gag gifts. This year was gag gifts...still to this day nothing will beat the shot gun shells and beef jerky! ;) My cousin Megan and Sister both got redneck wine glasses!
