Weekend Update

We were gonna start our weekend off by taking Noah to the pool at our gym for the very first time on Friday, but I woke up with the WORST sore throat in the world.  Noah had had a running nose for a few days, not sure it it was a cold or allergies or maybe a little of both.  So we stayed home instead and had a little family cuddle time on the couch.

Saturday Daddy had a major build go into production which meant he had to work.  Thankfully Daddy's office is right upstairs so we still got to see him and "visit" him at the office frequently for some laughs.  Noah and I did a little sprucing up of the house while Daddy worked and we rented New Year's Eve...what was I thinking?!? This movie was complete crap. Maybe I just wasn't in the proper frame of mind to appreciate it?! I don't know but it blew hard. We made our typical weekly trip to Target to pick up some goodies, cards for all our upcoming events and holidays. Noah loves our trips, he gets so excited for an adventure out of the house. I had a little photo sesh with him before we left Saturday:

Feet are so yummy!!!

We got some fun treats for Noah from Target. Let me just preface that Matt and I could not give two shits about Noah's baby food being organic or not.  At this point, all baby food is 10 times better than what was being provided when we were babies.  But Happy Baby makes some AUH-MAZING, genius food combos that seriously puts Gerber to shame.
Noah has been going through a "no green veggies" phase.  Thanks to these fun Happy Baby treats we have successfully worked back in Spinach! :) YAY!  We'll also be adding back in peas and introduce him to broccoli and beats! :) Wooo Hooo! We like variety :)

In other fun news I stopped pumping on Friday.  I'd been working myself up to an all out halt and so far no issues...I think there might still be some milk hanging around. But hopefully this "drying" up process won't be too painful.  It's not really something that I've heard folks talk about, I've read a lot about your milk dropping, but nothing about it drying up...so this should be interesting. :p

Sunday we had a FABULOUS day in DC :) It was our first trip into the city as a family and we all had a wonderful time :) Here are a shit ton a few pictures from our fun day :)

Belly Laughs

Baby giggles are the BEST!

Weekend Recap

We decided to get the show on the road Thursday afternoon with a goal set of making it to New Stanton, PA for the night. A little more than half way to our final destination of Streetsboro, OH :)  After stopping in Breezewood for some much needed treats (Starbs) and a poopy diaps change, we made it to New Stanton for the night.

Side Note: I am obsessed with FourSquare. No joke getting my gym rat badge was hella motivating to get my @$$ to the gym! Checking in at the Starbs in Breezewood earned me my Brew Badge Level 4...holler!

We grabbed a quick bite to eat at the Bob Evan's and then hunkered down for the night at the Fairfield Inn & Suites but not before Mama could talk the boys into a quick photo sesh since we were all in matching New England sports apparel. Note: This was NOT planned!  Matt and I accidentally put on the same Red Sox shirt before we left and Patty dressed Noah in his Celtics shirt.

I look like a complete idiot, but I included this one anyway only because Noah and I are making the exact same face. Which is hilarious in itself

Friday we got on the road and made it into Streetsboro in time for lunch at CHICKFILA! Yummmo! We then spent the afternoon visiting with Uncle Nick where Noah got his first introduction to complete inappropriateness. :) We then headed over the visit with the Scotts and Noah got reacquainted with his best buddy Liam. :)

Noah refused to nap Friday afternoon because of all the commotion/he didn't want to be left out.  He didn't end up going down for the count until about 10:30ish wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy past Mama and Daddy's bedtime :p Thankfully, he chose to sleep in a little on Saturday to make up for it. Saturday ended up being a HUGE day for us. When we woke up I only pumped 2 ounces...NOT NORMAL.  And obviously NOT enough for this growing boy.  So we went to the store and started him on formula. At first he was not a fan, but once he got hungry/tired enough he would kill 6-8 ounces at a time. I've migrated to two a day pumps (morning/night) until my supply completely runs out. I'm still able to get a good 9-10 ounces a day.  So we are still working in those bottles when we can with the formula. Saturday Night Noah got to meet the rest of the Ohio Family and had a blast :)

So sweet :)

This foot looks yummy!
